Double load consists of 40 bags.We use the same size bags as the hardwood is delivered in but due to Pine wood generally been split a bit thicker there might be less than 20 pieces in each bag.

We use a splitter to split the fire wood, which sometimes produces pieces that are not neat as some pieces are “torn ” apart. The pieces are chunky (not too big though and will still fit a standard fire place)

* Please make special mention in notes, if you do not wish to have these pieces mixed into your load.*

These pieces do burn longer though as they are cut from harder, knottier portions.

Pine timber although a soft wood and burns quicker it actually burns hotter and works well to get your fire going before you put harder/longer burning wood on.

It has a bad rap for creating chimney fires but that’s not totally true. Pine has a lot of pitch in it which burns easily and due to that you can burn Pine which is still green and not totally dry. Burning green/unseasoned wood is the main reason creosote is built up in a chimney, this is the main cause of chimney fires.

Within the Hout Bay area delivery is free. Please select “Southern Suburbs” as your delivery area if you live outside Hout Bay – a R250 delivery fee will then apply.

**We do offer after hours delivery but this will cost extra due to overtime******
